Ingredients

  • Reishi (Ling Zhi)

    Reishi is a type of mushroom found in the coastal regions of China. Its found growing on decaying logs and tree stumps. Its name means "herb of spiritual potency” and has been used traditionally to revitalize the spirit and regulate qi. It treats conditions such as fatigue, weakness and insomnia. Reishi contains several important chemicals and compounds, including sterols, polysaccharides, triterpenoids, coumarin and mannitol. Its antibacterial, improves liver health and vasodilation.

  • Cordyceps (Dong Chong Zia Cao)

    Cordyceps is one of the most unique substances found in herbal medicine. It's a form of fungus which grows naturally on the backs of caterpillars found in China, Nepal and Tibet. Cordyceps fungus has been described as an effective herb for treating circulatory, respiratory and immune problems. It’s classified as a general health tonic because of its capability to improve energy, stamina, appetite, endurance, and sleeping patterns.

  • Astragalus (Huang Qi)

    Astragalus is an herb native to northern China. Astragalus contains numerous compounds, including flavonoids, polysaccharides, amino acids and trace minerals. It is used for conditions such as night sweats, diarrhea, and qi deficiency and tonifies Qi and blood.

  • Poria (Fu Ling)

    Poria is a type of fungus related to polyporus, which usually grows on pine trees. It is usually gathered from the tree, cut into pieces of various length, and dried in the shade before being used medicinally. Poria expels dampness, invigorates the spleen, relaxes the mind and replenishes the middle jiao.

  • White atractylodes (Bai Zhu)

    White atractylodes is one of the most commonly used herbs in traditional Chinese medicine. An aromatic herb, the plant is indigenous to China and the rhizome is used medicinally. White atractylodes is used as a qi tonic, and to support the functions of the kidney, bladder and digestive system.

  • Ledebouriella Root (Fang Feng)

    Ledebouriella, also known as Siller Root, is a long, cone-shaped plant. The root is cut into small pieces, dried, and used in herbal preparations. It is used to dispel pathogenic wind, resolve dampness and arrest convulsions, and is especially effective in treating "wind moist" disorders.

  • Licorice (Gan Cao)

    Licorice has been used to flavor foods for centuries. Licorice root is used medicinally. The two most important components of licorice are glycyrrhizin and flavonoids. Glycyrrhizin works as an anti-inflammatory and antiviral and inhibits the breakdown of cortisol. It also augments Qi, moistens lungs, resolves phlegm and stops coughing.
